Action	Eight Legged Freaks	Great Spoof of the 1950's 'B' horror movies. A small remote Arizona town is overrun by hordes of giant spiders. Unlike the traditional movies where you barely see the monsters, here they are on the screen almost 50% of the time. Oh, and Kari Wuhrer as sheriff Sam, very hot.

Action	Haunted	A romantic ghost story set in 1930's England. Someone on the AVS forum recommend this to me as an early interesting movie starring Kate Beckinsale.

Action	The Poseidon Adventure	The movie about a passenger liner flipped upside down by a giant wave and the trapped passengers attempts to escape. After seeing articles on the new Queen Mary 2, it sure looks top heavy, hopefully it won't suffer the same fate as the Poseidon.

Comedy	Adventures in Babysitting	A classic comedy with Elisabeth Shue. My favorite scene is when the babysitter and the kids are forced to sing in the blues club.
Comedy	Avanti	Jack Lemmon goes to Italy to retrieve his father's body. Turns out his father has spent a month there every summer for ten years with Juliet Mills mother. Of course, Jack & Juliet end up together. Great Italian seaside scenery.

Comedy	Chasing Papi	A fun little comedy about a guy dating three women who all show up at his house on the same day and then comedy ensues. One of my favorities of 2003.

Meaing if you had the clone of an incredible beautiful girl but then impressed her with the personality traits of a guy (football, beer, and sex), what would you get? A movie that is better in concept than in execution.

They stop at the home of a free-spirited artist with three daughters (one of whom is MacPherson). Lots of nudity, but a very, very slow paced movie.

Comedy	Walk, Don't Run	During the housing shortage of the 1964 Toyko Olympics, two men and a woman share a single apartment and the older man plays Cupid to the other two. Cary Grant plays the older man in his final screen appearance.

Drama	The Grand	An 8 episode British TV series set in a Manchester upscale hotel in 1920. Another upstairs, downstairs type show.
Drama	Half Moon Street	Dr. Lauren Slaughter, professor, emissary, hooker, target. From 1986, stars Sigourney Weaver and Michael Caine.

Foreign Language	Amelie	Everyone at the Home Theater Forum was raving about this movie and they were right. It would certainly make my top ten list for comedy/romantic comedy. Hard to describe the plot and not knowing what is going to happen next is one of its charms.
Foreign Language	The Closet	French Comedy about an accountant at a condom factory who has to pretend to be gay to save his job and in the process changes everyone's lives. Good movie, very funny in spots. Definite thumbs up!
Foreign Language	He Loves me . . . He loves me not	Stars the girl form Amelie. First half is her relationship with a doctor from her perspective, the second half from his perspective. The twist is that she is insane. Interesting suspense/thriller type of movie

Sci Fi	Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, Season 3	Okay, so why have I skipped the second season? Well, the FX network plays Buffy twice a day so I have been getting my fill, but the 3rd season was one of my favorites and I want the 'extras' like the commentary on some of the episodes. The 3rd season was the one with Faith, the Mayor, and the destruction of the High School during graduation.

This season's main story arc involves 'The Initiative', a secret government operation to control demons. Of course, they are based in a huge secret facility located under the college campus.

Sci Fi	The Final Countdown	What if a modern aircraft carrier went back to the day before Pearl Harbor? Great little sequence where a pair of F-14s dogfight with a pair of Zeros. From 1980 with Kirk Douglas and Martin Sheen. The picture quality of this transfer is horrible, but a new version is due in May 2004 so I will probably upgrade when it arrives. One of my favorite movies.
Sci Fi	First Men in the Moon	A1964 British movie a 1899 trip to the moon by an eccentric scientist using anti-gravity. Actually, better than it sounds with a real plot after getting to the moon. The DVD includes a one hour documentary about Ray Harryhausen which is very interesting.

Sci F	Missile to the Moon	Another low budget B-movie (or is it C or D movie?) from the late 50's about a dying race of women on the moon. Terrible acting and writing, 'Nuff said.
Sci Fi	Mouse on the Moon	Sequel to the movie 'The Mouse that Roared'. This 1962 comedy is about a small fictional European that claims to have a space program to siphon money from the American-Russian Space Race.
Sci Fi	The Phantom Empire	A serial from 1935 starring Gene Autry 'The Singing Cowboy' vs a secret, futuristic underground civilization. 12 episodes over two DVDs.
Sci Fi	Phantoms	Movie based on the horror novel by Dean Koontz. The movie stars Ben Affleck and Rose McGowan (from Charmed) early in their careers. The book was much better.

Sci Fi	Project Moonbase	Interest moon mission from the 50's set in the far distant 1970! More interesting than most of this era, possibly because the screenplay was by the renown author Robert Heinlein.

Sci Fi	UFO	1970 British TV show set in 1980 about the secret SHADO organization battling alien UFOs. Very 60's mod fashion styles. Excellent picture quality. This set includes the first 13 of 26 episodes. Lots of Fun!
Sci Fi	The Valley of Gwangi	Cowboys vs Dinosaurs in South America. 1969 movie with Ray Harryhausen stop-motion animation starring James Franciscus. A classic.
Sci Fi	Vampyres	Erotic horror classic from 1974 starring a former Playboy centerfold. Very poor, low budget movie and not even that erotic.

World War 1	The Blue Max	The Blue Max was awarded to German fighter pilots after 20 kills. Shot in 1966, starring George Peppard. This has some of the best aerial dog-fight footage using bi-planes found in any movie.

World War 2	Battle of Britain	From 1969, a movie about the air war over Britain in the summer of 1940. Lots of great dogfights, but the picture quality isn't as good as in 'The Blue Max' from the same era.
