It was July 3rd, 1942 and I had travelled back in time to help stop the Nazi terror. In an attempt to devastate American morale, Hitler had sent an elite team of SS troops to steal the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. For safe-keeping during the war, many historic documents had been transferred from Washington to a special vault constructed deep into Mount Rushmore. The main entrance is located on the far side of the mountain, but a small secret access passage is located between the heads of Presidents Roosevelt and Lincoln.

Using this passageway, I was able to extract the 300 American troops trapped in the vault. Once the documents were removed to safety, we managed to shoot down the three Hindenburg class zeppelins that the Nazi's had flown over the North Pole to secretly deliver their commando squadrons. With their only means of escape gone, the surviving 472 German troops surrendered. (Unlike the Japanese incident in New Mexico in 1944, the Germans will surrender in a hopeless situation.)
